I love this blog, being from Buffalo myself, but stuck in Philly its nice to see a Buffalonian out there. Have you tried listening to the Tallest Man on Earth. He has quite a new-age sound while at the same time having a Bob Dylanesque voice.
Thanks so much Joseph! I’ll have to give him a listen. Keep reading and stay Dandy.
Where did you get that blazer in the picture from your “about” page? I saw something similar at forever 21, but they only had large sizes left.
Hey Herman. Thanks for the inquiry. I purchased the blazer this Fall from Urban Outfitters. It’s by Hawkings McGill and is sadly no longer available.
Where can I find a nice, on the cheapish side, pair of chukkas? I really like the vintage look of these boots and how they look nicer with the more wear they get.
Thanks for writing Emmett. Check out my thoughts on Chukkas in today’s post.
I’m about to get the Hawkings McGill Herringbone Blazer from urbanoutfitters. Could you help me out about the sizing, I’m a little bit confused. How tall are you and what size are you wearing in that picture ? Does it fit exact sizes ? Like medium 38 and large 40 ? Thank you !
Hi Cem. Thanks for writing. In the photo I’m wearing a size small. I’m 6ft tall and weight about 175. The small is a bit snug but fits closer to shoulders for me than the medium did and I like my jackets to have that more tailored look. The medium fit fine, like a big 38 or almost a 40, but it was just a little too big for what I wanted. I actually went back to try the medium after buying the small, but in the ended up staying with the small because of the fit. On the urban outfitters site, the model is wearing a medium I believe. I would suggest if you’re around my size, buying the medium and you could always have it tailor since the jacket is a steal at $50. Thanks again for writing. Keep reading and stay Dandy.
Hey!
Awesome blog. From Toronto and coming to Buffalo in a week for a tailgate. Was wondering if you could steer me in the direction of a great liquor store. I’m looking to buy some Applejack since Laird’s doesn’t distribute in Canada
Hi Rob, thanks so much for writing. Hands down the finest liquor establishment in Buffalo is Premier Wine & Spirits. Passport Wine and Spirits is a close second but can’t compare to Premier’s sheer size and inventory. Hope this helps! Keep reading and stay Dandy!
